These are the best banana pancakes from scratch I have ever had. Way better than any box mix. I like simple so I didn't add any spices and used plane old maple syrup. My whole family loves them.
I am pretty finicky when it comes to pancake recipes and these are fantastic. We made them exactly as stated but used half regular flour and half wheat flour. DH, who isn't a banana pancake fan in general, liked them a lot. Not a low cal everyday treat but definate must for special occasions. Yum!!!
I made these yesterday morning with some bananas that were on their way out and these were amazing, I made the syrup as well and I can't wait to try the syrup on waffles and pancakes since we had some leftover. The kids devoured these and we put a little bit of some homemade whip cream on them as well. They are easy enough to make and are quick to the table. Thank you for posting such a great recipe!
Have never been to the Key West restaurant, but I can tell you ~ These pancakes are GREAT! Loved the addition of spices & nuts, & the syrup part of the recipe, well, you can bottle that & peddle it in my area for sure! Thanks for such a GREAT TASTE TREAT!
