  1. Heavenly!! Just like you get in a restaurant, but better. Very thick at first, thins out as it sits in fridge. Made it to go with baked chicken wings recipe from this site, both recipes were just fantastic!

  2. This turned out fantastic. I did use Roquefort (just preference) thinned it out with some fat free half and half. I also left out the dry mustard no reason except that I forgot it. Served this with wedge salads for dinner with bacon, onions and tomatoes. Yummy! Hubby says this is his new favorite dressing. Absolutely a new staple at our house!

  3. This is the best Bleu Cheese dressing I have ever had! I have been making my own salad dressings for a while and was looking for a Bleu Cheese that didn't taste predominantly of mayo and this one is it. Thanks so much for posting.

  4. boy, I'm never buying the jarred stuff again. I do prefer mine a bit thicker, i added a inch of xanthan gum to thicken it up a bit.

  5. LikeItLoveIt - This dressing is absolutely great! I had no sour cream, so I added buttermilk, instead. Fresh garlic and Dijon mustard are always in my kitchen, so they were also used.

Tweaks

  1. After reading the reviews of this, I knew I had to try it being a blue cheese lover. At the deli counter trying to decide which blue cheese to buy, a sudden whim came over me to buy Roquefort instead. I know, I know, I'm sorry I essentially I changed this recipe, but with a very similar cheese, and the results were OUTSTANDING! Followed the rest of the recipe to a T and this is simply the BEST Blue/Roquefort Cheese Dressing I've ever had or made. DH thought he'd died and gone to heaven! Thank you so much! I know it's becoming cliche to say I will never buy store bought again, but I mean it!!!
