What an interesting recipe...I enjoyed making it and hubby and I enjoyed eating it...I loved all the ingredients...the only problem I had was trying to get the zucchini to be more friendly...they kept wanting to hang out together...:)...but I was able to force them to mingle...
What a lovely salad this was! I used cucumber instead of zuchinni, cut my celery super fine (I like the taste but not the texture of celery so need to diguise it) and used the vodka. A great way to use our home grown baby Italian tomatoes.
I made this using my garden cherry tomatoes, I did make few amount adjustments and omitted the celery and added in garden cucumbers, this made and enjouyed for KK's Grilling forum tag game, thanks Sus!
Totally awesome recipe! I halved the recipe; used 2 large tomatoes and added cucumber. I will be making this recipe again!
We loved this salad and between both of us ate half the salad. I did add the vodka and used grape tomatoes but the hot sauce I left out. Since DH does not like zucchini I only added half of one. It tasted like cucumbers so he didnt know he was eating zucchini. :) The dressing is so good and will remind you of a bloody mary. The only thing I would do different for us is add less celery and maybe add some diced green onion. Made and reviewed for Kitten's Recipe Tag Game.
I LOVED THIS!!!! I made this exactly as written with grape tomatoes (and minus the vodka). It tasted just like a really good Bloody Mary. Believe it or not, I ended up eating the whole things by myself. I just kept going back to the refrigerator until it was all gone. I am used to tomatoes salads with basil and vinegar. This was a welcome change with the lemon juice and celery. I will be making this again! Thanks for posting this. Made for Think Pink 2009 tag game.
This is a wonderful salad. I cut in in half and added a little fresh basil and I should have made the full recipe. Served with Spicy Shrimp Bake#48712 and a side of bread. Will definately make this again. Made for Think Pink Tag Game 2009.
This is the epitome of summer, right here in the bowl. I used all the ingredients listed except for vodka, (which is probably a great addition, just didn't add it) and happened to have added a bit of onion because I had some out for another recipe. Used fresh tomatoes from the garden and the seasonings were right on. I loved the use of horseradish (fresh). Yum, and such perfection! Made for *Everyday is a Holiday* Septembre 2009
