Bloody Mary Soup

"If you like Bloody Mary's, you will love this soup. Great use for those fresh tomatoes during the hot weather months!! Note: cook time is actually chill time."

• Ingredients: 8
• Serves: 4

ingredients

• 5 large ripe tomatoes, peeled and seeded
• 1 clove garlic, smashed
• 1 medium onion, sliced
• 1 small green sweet pepper
• 2 cups tomato juice
• 1 teaspoon Tabasco sauce (or sauce of choice. Additional tobasco sauce can be used to taste)
• salt and pepper
• 1⁄2 cup vodka, chilled

directions

1. Place tomatoes, garlic, onion, green pepper and pepper sauce in blender.
2. Blend to a smooth paste then gradually blend in tomato juice.
3. Add salt and pepper to taste.
4. Chill at least 4 hours.
5. Just before stirring, stir in vodka.
6. Serve over ice in large goblets.
7. Place a celery stick into each serving.
