I think I would try butter or at lerast part butter in this recipe next time for the taste. Nice consistency, easy recipe, but I miss the butter taste and margarine isn't doing it for me. It is, however, more economical.

Amazing...yummy...wonderful...there aren't enough good adjectives to describe these! I used chocolate chips instead of nuts, and they were so good! I used a different blondies recipe off of this site the last time I made some, and after trying this recipe, there is no going back!

These are sooooo good and sweet! They may be too sweet for some but I loved it! The taste of these remind me of sweetened condensed milk (which I LOVE and could eat with a spoon!) and buttery caramel! Mmmmmmmm! I omitted peanuts (didn't have any on hand and don't care much for it) and added a handful of chopped white chocolate chips, although I'm positive butterscotch chips, chocolate chips, pecans, etc. could be used to beautifully sub the peanuts. These blondies are sinfully good warm and topped with vanilla ice cream (which I devoured)! I am making these again this weekend for a summer get together and it's going to be very hot out so I'm going to serve it with plenty of ice cream!!!

These are great. I did cut the white sugar to 3/4 cup and they are still plenty sweet. The dough is very thick, like a cookie dough. I had to press it into the pan. I used chocolate chips instead of the peanuts. Great little bars.

Just tucked these into my teens' lunch boxes this morning. I also had one teeny-weeny one with my morning coffee ;) YUM! They are very good - and have a definite "butterscotchie" flavor. I didn't have peanuts so tossed in some chopped pecans. Peanut butter, butterscotch, or chocolate chips would be a nice addition too. These are more dense and chewey than cakey - just how we like them. Thanks for sharing these Orion's Wife.

These are seriously GOOD! Possibly addictive! They smell nice when they're baking too. We couldn't wait for them to cool to try them! I made 1/2 the recipe and used an 8x8 pan (I used one egg instead of 1/2). I didn't have peanuts so I substituted chocolate chips. Very, very yummy blondies, thanks for sharing the recipe. Made for Spring PAC 2009.
