Golden brownies with pure brown sugar, butter and vanilla for a caramelesque, butterscotchy flavor. A super treat to tuck into lunch bags.
Taken from the verybestbaking.com website. *Note: The recipe states 36 brownies, however, my yield was 48. These are really good! Also, for ease of removal, I lined my jelly roll pan with wax paper, and sprayed with Pam.*
These were sooooooooo good! Very, very yummy with a great caramel and chocolate taste! The texture is soft and cake-like, which is exactly the way we like our brownies. YUM! I made half the recipe, reduced the butter a tad and the sugar quite considerably to 2tbs. That worked out well and the brownies were still super sweet due to the chocolate. THANK YOU SO MUCH for sharing this indulgent treat with us, alli! Made and reviewed for WTTM Tag April 2011.

I also cut these into 48 servings. They were really good, but not brownie like in my opinion. They reminded me of a big soft chocolate chip cookie. I used the full bag of chips and might cut back a bit next time. Thanks for sharing Alligirl!
