Also called butterscotch brownies. They taste like a chocolate chip cookie without the chocolate. More chewy than cake like. Really wonderful especially when warm.

  1. Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Add in eggs and vanilla extract.
  3. Add in flour, baking powder and salt.
  4. Add in nuts.
  5. Spread into well greased 9X13 inch pan.
  6. Bake in 325 degree oven for 40 minutes.
  7. Sprinkle with powdered sugar while still hot.
  8. Cut into squares while warm.

This was a great recipe for blonde brownies. Taste like the ones my mom used to make when I was a little girl. Have also given this recipe away to friends.

I made these several times, with different additions each time I baked them: butterscotch chips, chocolate chips, m and m's but my favorite addition was white chocolate chips and macadamia nuts. Great recipe, very rich and chewy! I would give it more than 5 stars if I could......Yum!
