This is an easy recipe that uses self rising flour (less measuring) and the end result is wonderful.

Directions

  1. Spray 9 x 13 pan with cooking spray.
  2. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  3. In a large bowl mix all ingredients together. Batter will be stiff.
  4. Spread in prepared pan.
  5. Bake 30 minutes.
  6. Cool and cut into 1-inch squares.

I made these last night. I also tried 4 eggs instead of 2, and used white chocolate chunks instead of milk chocolate and 2 tsp of vanilla instead of 1. They were incredibly simple and took no time at all to make. I was surprised by how thick the batter was - I bet you could make good cookies from it. The brownies are delicious, if quite sugary. I'll definitely be making them again!

These 'blondies' were a great hit at our family dinner party last night. I took Melting Pot's advice and increased the eggs to 4, and also added 1/4 cup extra chocolate morsels. I had to bake an extra 10 mins (40 mins in total), and the result was pure bliss - crisp on the outside and chewy inside. So good, had to make 'em again today! ;)
