  1. Melt butter in heavy pot. Add chopped vegtables, cook untill soft. Wisk in flour and cook 5 minutes. Add broth and mix well. Bring just under a boil. Add remaing ingredients (minus Ditalini) reduce heat and simmer 25 minutes. Add Ditalini and continue to simmer for 20 minutes or until pasta is cooked through.
