My daughter loves blackberries and loves this smoothie. A nice change of pace in the smoothie department. Found this treasure in Light and Healthy Cooking flyer.
- 2 cups blackberries (fresh or frozen)
- 1 cup plain fat-free yogurt
- 1 cup apple juice
- 1⁄4 cup honey
- 1 large banana
- Combine all ingredients in a blender and process until smooth.
- Strain blackberry mixture through a sieve and discard seeds. Enjoy!
We liked this. I didn't have blackberries but I had a close second marionberries. I didn't add the honey as we used homemade apple juice that was pretty sweet. The kids liked it too.
