Awesomely perfect muffins. Buttery flavor with a tender crumb, but a nice crisp sweet top. My frozen blackberries were gigantic but still worked well in this recipe. Only change I made was to use paper muffin liners cause I was lazy. Made 18 muffins. Thanks for sharing the recipe!

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Grease 18 muffin cups.
  3. Using electric mixer, cream butter and 1 1/4 cups sugar in a large bowl until light. Add eggs 1 at a time, beating well after each addition. Sift flour, baking powder and salt into small bowl. Mix dry ingredients into butter mixture alternately with milk, ending with the dry ingredients. Fold in berries.
  4. Divide batter among prepared cups. Sprinkle 4 teaspoons sugar over tops. Bake until tester inserted in centers comes out clean, about 25 minutes. Serve warm or at room temperature.
