I tried this recipe, and i followed it exactly, sad to report it is HORRIBLE!!! 6 tablespoons of cornstarch really??? I should of known that was way to much. Im sad I wasted my blackberries, creamcheese & butter on this.

This is a wonderful recipe- a hidden gem indeed! (Thanks Debbwl for your review which made me want to make this!) I had exactly 4 cups of blackberries to use and this recipe fit the bill perfectly. I followed the recipe precisely, and I was not disappointed. It is a perfect balance of sweet, tart and delicious. Thank you so much for posting your recipe. I know this will be one that I make every blackberry season for years to come!

Ohhhh this is so good. I followed your recipe exactly as written and didn't change a thing. We have wild blackberries that grow out in our back fields and every summer I pick a bunch to freeze for whenever. This recipe fit the bill nicely. :-) Made for HolidayTag~

This was really really good. I was unsure of the blackberrys because I am a big blueberry fan but they were great. I will fix this again and use blueberrys to. Thanks so much for sharing. Made for PAC Fall/2008.

Made it with blueberries as we didn't have and blackberries and it had great flavors, but the cream cheese portion was so light that it was displaced by the blueberries going in on top of it. I am wondering if I made it too thin and should have added more powdered sugar or the other thought I had was to add egg and vanilla to the cream cheese mixture and put it on top of the unbaked crust and then bake both of them together for 30 minutes making it like a cheese cake bottom. I might try that the next time. But thanks, the flavors were great, it just looked to be a mess.
