  1. This is so delicious. I don't know what possessed me but I did add 1/4 tsp vanilla extract. Vanilla tends to bring out the flavor and scents in things, and it did with this recipe too. This is the ideal balance of sweet and deliciously tangy-lemony with tart berries. It's the best berry bread recipe I've ever made. Thank you so much for posting this recipe!!!

  2. This recipe is sooo delicious! Do yourself a favor and give it a try, you will not regret it. This recipe is so easy too, it's a great one to let kids help out with :)

  3. This bread was very easy to make. I used frozen berries that I had drained really well. I took it to church, and everyone told me it was good. I will keep this recipe handy since I have lots of blackberries.

  4. I did use frozen blackberries this time around since I didn't want to spend the money on very expensive fresh ones! The berries, along with the lemon, made a great flavor combo, & I was almost willing to add a thin lemon glaze to the loaf, but I didn't this time! Thanks for a keeper of a recipe! While I love to cook I don't usually have a lot of time to do so. Fortunately for me, my DH also loves to cook and is very good at it. I'm looking forward to using this site .
