Well, now I know why this has so many high ratings-it's delicious. I did cut way back on the salt but otherwise followed the recipe. We enjoyed it immensely w/ Mixed Green Chowder Mixed Greens Chowder.

This was wonderful, we couldn't stop eating it. I was thinking of adding a can of Rotel tomatoes the next time I make it. I am going to add more cheese too. Thanks Nurse Di for another fabulous recipe.

I really liked this. I served it as the main dish and it was very filling. I never would have thought to make this combination, but it is very good.

An interesting combination of ingredients!! I made this last night and a couple friends dropped in and stayed for dinner. I served it with a tossed green salad. Everyone enjoyed it very much. Although I used the entire 14.5 oz. can of black-eye peas instead of 1 cup, it seemed a little dry, so we all just topped it with a bit of sour cream and salsa. I also added only one jalapeno but it definitely could have used two. Thanks for posting; I'll make this again.

My husband and I really did like this recipe. Must say that anything I have made that NurseDi has made has been great.

This cornbread is more like a main dish. I served it with the obligatory greens--we had turnip greens. An outstanding recipe and I never would have thought to put peas and cornbread together in one dish. I am a Southerner and this is a little piece of heaven. Thanks for another great recipe.

I made this yesterday on New Years Day, and it was a HUGE hit with the family. Most definitely a keeper in this household. Thanks NurseDi, for yet another fantastic recipe.

This combines two of my favorite foods--black-eyed peas and cornbread. They went great together and I served this with, of course, greens and sweet tea. A perfect southern meal. The cornbread was full of delicious chunky ingredients. Very filling and something different. Thanks Nurse Di.
