  1. Trying to be creative in my description of this cake, I asked my husband , "How would you describe this cake"? He says to me ...... "In one word? GONE!" *LOL* This cake is VERY good! I normally don't like homemade cakes... I prefer store mixes... I didn't have a mix on hand and I wanted cake for dessert. I hade every ingredient for this one. (And always do!!) This cake SMELLS SOOOO chocolatey... and the batter is sooooo chocolatey *LOL* It's moist and wonderful!! You could actually get away with NOT using frosting ... maybe a dusting of powdered sugar or something if even that. Thanks for posting this one!!!

  3. I just made this and it's a very light cake. It's very good... and so easy to make. I topped it with a dusting of powdered sugar. This is the kind of recipe that will stick in your head and you'll always remember the recipe because it's so easy.

  4. I have used this cake for every Birthday now for well over a year. I guess it is time I say I love it. It is easy to make and always moist. Not too sweet just lovely. I usually use cream cheese icing on it and it is great. I really don't like super sweet cakes so this is great. I always get compliments thanks Mizznezz another great riecpe.

  5. Wonderful is the word to describe this. It is incredibly easy to make and so moist and tasty to eat. I added some drained maraschino cherries just before baking and topped with some sprinkled powdered sugar. This little baby won't be around for long! Thanks.

After DH and I moved away from the farm, and to the city...I haven't done as much cooking and very little canning. But I do come to Zaar and look for new recipes once in a while. I'm still cooking Zaar!! I like to play at Facebook, with my family and friends. A lot of my Zaar friends are there!! Yay! It's a good way to keep in touch. We travel more. We're looking at the European trips now. Hope to go in the springtime. I really want to see London, I think I lived there in a past life, I've been obsessed with it since I was 10 years old!!
