Very nice. Great spring/summer salad. Fast and easy to put together, which is a plus! I made this for a healthy potluck at work and everyone loved it. Thanks Kathy!

Cool and refreshing. Would be great with a spicy main dish. Will make again

I thought it was tasty!! I used canned diced tomatoes instead of fresh and it was still good. Next time, I'm going to add a little jalepeno for an extra kick.

My sister made me this recipe a number of years ago in Canada and I really enjoyed it (not to mention how great it looks) and its only recently Ive been able to find black beans here in NZ. This was very popular and a great conversation topic as most of my guests had never tried black beans this way.

This was so easy, and had a really refreshing taste. I used the juice of one lemon (probably less than 3 tbsp) and thawed frozen corn instead of canned. We served it with tortilla chips and on soft tortilla beef tacos. I'll definitely make this often. The only thing I might do differently is add one jalapeno for some spice, and maybe try some lime juice instead of lemon, but it's delicious as written.

This went great with our dinner of chipotle mashed potatoes and ribeyes done Alton Brown style. (cast iron skillet.) It might have been nice to make it a little more zingy -- perhaps some rice vinegar or something. I loved how fast, easy, and affordable it was -- and a great alternative to a lettuce-based salad.

I have made this several times and love it! I added 1 finely chopped jalepeno which was wonderful. Also, the last time I made this I thought I had a can of black beans but as it turned out they were blackeyed peas - and it still was excellent!
