      I noticed this recipe well worth praise has not had any comments posted for several years... I found it truly excellent! The only thing I will change is double the cake recipe as it rendered too little. Bravo, this oldie is easy and delicious!! I used half pecans and half almonds for the topping and Splenda in place of sugar, fine!

      A wonderful cake, and so easy to make! I doubled the recipe to make in a 9x13 pan, using 1 tsp. vanilla and 1 tsp. almond extracts, as I was using almonds in the topping. Kept 1/3 for myself and took the rest to work....and it literally vanished in front of my eyes. It may be an old recipe (and I'm an old cook), but it was new to me....soon to be a regular. Thanks so much for posting it!

      My mom wanted this a few years back, and I found a recipe on the box at that time. Then when I wanted to make it for her again, I couldn't find it again. Now I make it for several family members that love it because they all love it and mom's aunt used to make it, so it's good comfort food. Awesome, thanks for posting!

      I haven't made this cake or seen the recipe in years, but I used to make it for my family. It is very tasty and easy to make.

      I love this - my mom used to make it often. I whipped one up today - just as good as I remembered. Like that it makes a small cake - perfect for our house.
