This coffee cake brings back great memories of my aunt. Whenever we went to visit she had the coffee cake made and waiting - the topping was always a surprise =- it was whatever fruit she had on hand mixed with the recipe topping. Yummy! I'm going to make this for my husband today and think of my Aunt. Rest well, Aunt T - your hospitality and love live on!

Glad to find it! I pulled out the bisquick box and was shocked it wasn't on there! I added the apples and baked it for 20 minutes. I probably should have cooked it for only 18-19 minutes, the crust was really browning.

This was one of the first recipes I ever made as a young adult. I was 17 years old and still in high school. Today, I am 60 years old and still make this coffee cake for my four granddaughters. It is one of their favorites, too!

I remember my aunt making this for us on Sunday mornings. Thanks for the post. I also added 3/4 cup of chunky applesauce and a pinch or so of cinnamon to the coffee cake.

I have loved this recipe for years and years, unfortunately, a few years ago I had lost it and have been searching for it ever since! Thank you for posting it. It is simple, easy and really good! I have been known to double the topping! Today I am going to try and chop apples into the batter, wish me luck! Thanks again for sharing the best coffee cake recipe ever!

Ohhhhhh, this is the Best and Quickest coffee cake there is and thank you so much for posting it so it doesn't get lost. I used to rely on the back of the box and one day it wasn't there. Thankfully, I remembered the ingredients (that's how often I made this) and wrote it down real quick so it didn't get lost. Well, it did get lost and bless your heart for posting it. Thank you, again, so much. Love, Angelcook P.S. I have also done many different toppers for this, like any flavor pie filling, different streusel toppings, pumpkin and pecans...well, you get the idea. This one really deserves a medal on top of the stars...it's so versatal. Thanks.
