- 3 1⁄2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1⁄2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 tablespoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3⁄4 cup all vegetable shortening, cold
- 1 1⁄2 cups milk, cold

- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1⁄4 cup butter, melted
directions
- Preheat oven to 375°F Gease a 10-inch tube pan.
- BISCUITS: Place dry ingredients in a large bowl. Cut in shortening until it resembles coarse meal. Add milk. Knead dough until it comes together. On a lightly floured surface pat or roll out dough to a 1-inch thickness. Cut into 1-2 inch pieces.
- ASSEMBLY: Place brown sugar and cinnamon in a plastic storage bag. Place a few cut biscuits in the bag at a time, shake well to coat. Place in prepared baking pan. After you have one layer done, sprinkle with 2 tablespoons butter and 1/4 cup of the sugar over the biscuits. Continue layering biscuit pieces until all are used. Drizzle on remaining butter and sprinkle with remaining sugar mixture.
- Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes. Remove from pan and serve immediately.
- Place the warm cake on the table, and let everyone pull it apart to eat.

<br>I guess the dish that I am famous for is my Christmas ham - my family all comes home for Christmas, and if i don't have my ham they are dissapointed, and my grandson wants the pistachio squares!!! so I guess that is the dishes that I'm famous for.
