The very detailed instructions make this a very easy dish to prepare. I don't use jar sauce,so substituted our favourite homemade sauce instead-apart from that,we followed the instructions to the letter. This produces a tasty lasagne with the thin layers,but we weren't so keen on the texture (we missed our usual mix of Italian sausage and minced beef,that's quite chunky),although we can completely see Bird's point. This is a good recipe,and with instructions like this,is perfect for beginners. Thanks for another good meal!!

Followed this recipe right on down, although as with Noo, I substituted my own homemade spaghetti sauce for the store-bought kind, so that added a combo of mild & sweet Italian sausage to the ground beef for a nicely meaty lasagna! Shared it at a neighborhood gathering & it was a big hit! Another time I'll take your suggestion & prepare it in two pans, one for freezing & one for the 2 of us to enjoy right here at home!
