I printed out the recipe from Martha Stewart's Show, misplaced it, then found this recipe at Recipe Zaar. I made the cupcakes, batter went all over the oven. I found the original recipe nd it calls for 1 tablespoon of baking powder not 2 tablespoons as stated in this recipe.

It is an easy recipe to put together, no actual "creaming" is done which is a nice change. The batter had a great taste, sort of like sugar cookie dough. Yum! However I did have to make two batches to get it right. Filling the cups 2/3 full was too much, they overflowed. The next time I only filled them half way full and that was just right. The other problem I had was that they stuck to the paper liner and it was hard to get the paper off without destroying the cupcake. I sent the recipe to my grandmother (expert baker) to see if she has the same problem. I am waiting to hear. I loved the taste, but would not probably make it again unless I can solve the problem.

Just made these today, and they are a disaster. Two Tablespoons of baking power cannot be correct. The cake is way too crumbly, and you can't even get it out of the cupcake papers. Also, 2/3 full is too much, half full works much better. The flavor is great, but somehow, somewhere the correct amount of baking power must be noted.

This is a delicious recipe WHEN IT IS SHARED CORRECTLY! The recipe is wrong - the one from Billy's bakery is on Martha Stewart's web site as prepared by Billy so it's correct. Using 2 T. of baking powder will result in the disaster I had in my oven! I ruined special cupcakes papers for my sister's birthday by following a recipe that was printed wrong on this web site instead of Martha's - my bad! Science does matter people!

These were the most amazing cupcakes we have ever had. The texture is so light and fluffy and the taste is exquisite! Absolutely to die for!

I heated the milk with some loose chai tea to make a chai spiced cupcake. I also used the Cheatin Wheat gluten free flour blend. These were absolute perfection! (I also only used 1T baking powder).

Awesome, Awesome, awesome! these are so good. We did reduce the baking powder to 1 T. and seemed to help rise better. So much better than a mix! Won"t do mix again! This was too easy!

very good cupcakes but the directions do not go with the video, check it out: Add eggs one a the time and mix vanilla extract with the milk.Add milk in three parts alternating with the flour. I used 1 1/2 tablespoon baking powder and 1 1/2 cups sugar. Fill the cups half full. Enjoy it

Very good cupcakes. I watched the video of billy making the cupcakes on line and I think they came out great. I did half with a ganache, and the other half with Kittencals buttercream, YUM.

Excellent taste and very easy to make. I did not read the serving size and figured the recipe just made 24 cupcakes like a regular cake batter and I filled my cupcake pans to full and they spread out and dripped in my oven but that was totally my fault, the recipe says 30 cupcakes and I think it would have made close to that had I filled the pans correctly. They tasted delicious kind of like a light pound cake. Thanks for the great recipe.
