  • 50 g butter, softened
  • 25 g nutella (or other chocolate spread, e.g. one with coffee)
  • 140 g sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 150 g flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 18 teaspoon ground vanilla bean
  • 75 g white chocolate chunks
  • 75 g milk chocolate pieces

  • In a big bowl cream butter, nutella and sugar for about 5 minutes. Add the egg and beat it inches.
  • In a second bowl combine baking powder, flour and vanilla bean. Add this to the wet mixture and mix to combine.
  • Fold in both types of chocolate chunks.
  • Use your hands to form large round heaps of dough (1 1/2 tbs dough per cookie). Flatten slightly on the baking sheet. These will spread, so leave enough room between them.
  • Bake in the preheated oven at 180°C/350°F for about 15 minutes. Take them out when theyre still a bit soft, theyll crisp up while cooling.
  • Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

  1. These were big and fluffy and chocolately! I used banana-chocolate spread from World Market in place of Nutella. I did think they were missing a bit of salt though. Thanks for sharing
