ingredients
- 5 cups white whole wheat flour
- 2 1⁄2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 cup butter
- 1⁄2 cup canola oil
- 3⁄4 cup sugar (more if you like your scones really sweet.)
- 2 eggs
- 3⁄4 cup milk (I use soy milk)
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 navel orange, peeled and chopped
- 1⁄2 orange, zest of
- 1⁄2 cup dried sweeten cranberries
directions
- Preheat oven to 325.
- Combine flour, baking powder, salt in a large mixing bowl.
- Cut in butter.
- Add all other ingredients.
- Place large spoonfuls on parchment paper covered baking sheets.
- Bake 20 minutes.
