This is Big Daddy D's recipe !! (I'm adding it for those that make bread machine bread) at 3 net carbs per serving, its guaranteed to be a hit among our low carb friends !! http://lowcarbohydrate.blogspot.com/search?q=better+bread+thats+low+carb
- 2 (1/4 ounce) packets fast rising yeast
- 1⁄2 cup vital wheat gluten
- 1⁄2 cup almond meal
- 1⁄2 cup wheat bran
- 1⁄2 cup soy flour
- 2⁄3 cup flax seed meal
- 1⁄4 cup Splenda sugar substitute
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup water
- Put all ingredients in bread machine. Set "light" browning setting. Turn on according to your bread machines instructions.
This was so good! Thank you. I don't like soy and didn't have the other one so I used 1.5 cups almond flour instead and it turned out great. Think I will double the recipe next time it was a little small but so so yummy. Oh I did add 1 teaspoon of salt. Thanks so much for sharing.
Very good! Small loaf as noted, but perfect in itself. The only change I would make is less Splenda. One T would be plenty.
