Betsy's Chinese Coleslaw

Easy, crunchy, not too sweet side dish, perfect for potlucks or BBQs, given to me by my friend, Betsy.

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 1 head napa cabbage, shredded or sliced thinly
  • 14 cup sesame seeds, toasted
  • 14 cup sunflower seeds, toasted
  • 4 ounces slivered almonds
  • 1 (3 ounce) package ramen noodles, chicken flavored, broken into small pieces
  • 4 green onions, grated or finely chopped
  • Dressing

  • 12 cup oil
  • 3 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • seasoning packet from ramen noodles
  • 1 teaspoon salt (I normally omit)
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 12 teaspoon pepper, freshly ground


  1. Mix all dressing ingredients. Mix all salad ingredients. Immediately before serving, pour dressing over salad and toss well.
