    Chef Beth's Note:

I call this Hail Mary for two reasons. #1, it was during football season and #2, I was making it for a chili competition at work and had never used this particular combination of ingredients before...it was totally an experiment and I was just trusting that it would come together and be good. By gosh, it was ! I won second place out of about 10 entries.

Brown meats, then combine all ingredients together and cook on stove (or slow cook in crock pot) until peppers & onions are soft and liquid has reduced to your preference. I like to cook it very slowly for a few hours, but you can cook it faster and it'll still be good.
