My niece served this with homemade cranberry jelly. It was fabulous! I love pepper jelly (and am not about to make jelly) so this is what I use. I guess you can use your own imagination. I can't imagine any other jelly NOT tasting good with it. Cook time is very approximate - just keep watching!
- Set Brie round on baking sheet.
- Cover with pepper jelly (my preferance).
- Bake at 300 degrees till Brie begins to soften (watch carefully).
- Remove from baking sheet and place on serving platter.
- Serve with crackers.
A winner! This is an excellent way to serve baked brie and much better done in the oven than microwaved. I used cranberry/redpepper jelly produced by the Galloping Cows of Port hood, NS a small producer of gourmet condiments and got the best of both the submitter's suggestions.
What's not to like about this? I tried it with the pepper jelly as you suggested. So easy and delicious! A real winner for an easy but elegant appetizer.
Very good brie. Mine took about 15 minutes to get warm in the oven. Thanks!
