These are very good waffles. I found this recipe on while in search of recipes to use with my new waffle iron. I hit the jackpot and am placing them here on Zaar so I have all my favorites in one place. I hope you enjoy.

  • 1 34 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 3 egg yolks, beaten
  • 1 34 cups milk
  • 12 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 egg whites, beaten stiffly


  1. Spray waffle iron with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Preheat waffle iron.
  3. Mix all dry ingredients.
  4. Combine yolks and milk.
  5. Stir yolk and milk mixture into dry ingredients.
  6. Stir in oil and mix.
  7. GENTLY fold in beaten egg whites, do not over mix.
  8. Pour about 1/2 cup at a time into waffle iron, close lid.
  9. Cook 4-5 minutes. Waffles are done when no steam is escaping from the waffle iron.
  10. Remove waffle and serve with desired toppings.
  11. So light and so fluffy!
