Best Green Goddess Salad Dressing

"Green Goddess dressing was a "flash in the pan" in the 70's ??...maybe 80's?? I always loved its spicy tang and exotic flavor."

• Ingredients: 8
• Yields: 1 cup

ingredients

• 177.44 ml snipped parsley
• 118.29 ml mayonnaise
• 118.29 ml sour cream
• 1 green onion, chopped
• 29.58 ml tarragon vinegar
• 14.79 ml anchovy paste
• 2.46 ml dried basil leaves
• 1.23 ml sugar

directions

1. Combine all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth.
2. Put into container, cover and chill.
3. Makes 1 1/4 cups.
4. Good over crisp green salad.

Had a cucumber salad at a local restaurant that looked like green goddess and was heavenly. Found it here..added a little more sugar and less anchovies and it was exactly what I was looking for. It's wonderful on vegetables. Thanks so much for sharing the recipe and for Recipe Zaar!

This is the best. It is deluxe! I use regular white vinegar & fresh basil and tarragon when I have it. This is what green goddess tastes like! We like it over the traditional wedge of iceberg & a sprinkling of crisp bacon. Thank you for this wonderful recipe!
