Thank you for posting this recipe. It is just like the one my parents made when I was a kid. I only have one exception: do not clean off any of the pulp and pumpkin "guts" from the seeds. Leave all of that on, mix with the other ingredients, and roast as directed. All that oooey-gooey turns into the most delicious, crispy savory treat. When I was a kid that was my favorite part to eat and it still is!
I've tried MANY different pumpkin seed recipes over the years, and this has been my go to recipe for the last couple of years. My kids actually brag to their friends about how my pumpkin seeds are "the best ever!" :)
Not great. We love roasted pumpkin seeds, and I love Worcestershire sauce, so we gave these a try. The flavors just didn't work together for us. Nobody ate them, so they ended up in the trash.
I was actually going to post my own version of this recipe, but this one is so close I'm just going to comment here! The recipe I use has 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder in it also. It also specifically says to leave the seeds unwashed. My Mom used to make these and it was one of my favorite snacks! A great way to recycle those pumpkin seeds and a healthy snack too!
Very good and easy. Use the extra Worcestershire sauce! Thanks HollyJane.
AWESOME flavour! But, not very crispy for some reason...
Soooo good! I've never made these before and I'm glad I chose this recipe for my introduction. The Worchestershire sauce gives the seeds a really robust flavor. Thanks for posting!
I've used thie recipe for the last couple of years it simple and tasty. I used a different earlier this fall, I was asked why I didn't make the "good" kind. So this is the recipe my kids and husband ask for so I'll use this one again and again!
I loved the flavor of these!
this was okay, a different flavor than other roasted pumpkin seeds. almost trying to be something it isn't with the worcestershire sauce. they weren't gobbled down and that is the recipe for which i am searching. i will keep looking.
