I'm sorry, but this cake just didn't do it for me. It just wasn't what I expected. I was expecting a denser cake (more like a coffee cake) and this had more of the consistency of a layer cake (light & fluffy). I think if it was baked in a 9" x 13" pan it might have been better. I did like the taste though.....
This is a very delicious cake! It goes together very quickly and easily, and is incredibly moist. I baked it in a Bundt pan instead of a tube pan and had to add about 10 minutes to the cooking time. Next time, I might try using applesauce instead of the oil, for more apple flavor, and I would double the amount of the frosting ingredients. The frosting didn't quite cover the entire cake. My family loved this cake and I will definitely be making it again. Thank you meltedcountry, for another wonderful PAC recipe.
