ingredients
- 354.88 ml butter, softened to room temp
- 354.88 ml sugar
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 4.92 ml vanilla
- 4.92 ml lemon extract
- 4.92 ml almond extract
- 1182.95 ml flour
- 4.92 ml cream of tartar
- 2.46 ml salt
- 2.46 ml baking soda
- 2.46 ml nutmeg
directions
- Cream butter and sugar in a large mixing bowl. Add eggs and extracts; mix well. In a separate bowl combine flour, tartar, salt, baking soda and nutmeg. Gradually add flour mixture to wet ingredients blending thoroughly. Place dough in greased bowl and refrigerate overnight. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Roll out dough on floured surface, cut with cookie cutters and bake on greased cookie sheet for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown on bottom.

We Loved them! I may have made mine a bit larger as I ended up with 35 thick circular sugar cookies that we frosted with pink cream cheese icing and pastel sprinkles...my kiddos were so THRILLED! We shared them with my second graders class room and all enjoyed them. I did add 1/4 tsp cardamom to the cookie dough. These will be made again. Thanks so much for posting. Made for PAC Fall 2009
