  1. I'm glad I decided to make this, as it was delicious! Creamy, fruity and chocolaty, all in one dessert! Instead of using Cool Whip, I whipped up two cups of heavy whipping cream, together with two teaspoons of sugar. To crush the cookies, I placed them a cup at a time inside a ziplock bag, and crushed them with a rolling pin. I'm going to make this again for our family's Christmas gathering. Thanks for sharing this yummy recipe, Dee!

  2. This is a family favorite recipe. I used an 8 oz. cool whip, 1/2 a package crushed cookies for the salad and put whole cookies over the top. Excellent!!!

  4. Believe it or not, this stuff's pretty tasty. I had to try something that combined the words cookie and salad! Kids like this too (imagine that). There are 4 other versions of this recipe on this site - one with ladyfingers, one with just mandarin oranges, one with Oreos (gotta try that one next), and one called Cookie Monster Fruit Salad which is pretty much the same as this one. I used this particular version and added a can of fruit cocktail. I'm sure any one you make will turn out good. An interesting combination of flavors with a little bit of crunch.
