Superb! These are light, delicious, and elegant. Great base recipe that you can add many flavors or spices to. I added vanilla paste and orange zest. Simply wonderful result.
Really not a big fan of sugar cookies at all... but my roommate wanted some, so I tried these out (so I wouldn't have to roll and cut and so forth!). They are excellent! Thanks so much! :-)
I've tried quirt a few sugar cookie recipes. This one is easy to make, very light, and really delicious. No more dreading the Sugar cookies at Christmas time for me anymore! I highly recommend this recipe.
Delicious! I didn't look the directions over completely - oops! So they were mixed and baked without refrigeration. They turned out just great! I halved the recipe but wish I hadn't... just wonderful! I will be making these regularly! Thanks for posting Shannon!
I made them exact, per instructions and wow, these were so good! We loved them! I added green sugar crystals and red sugar crystals to top them off after I flattened them with the bottom of a white sugared glass. They came out so wonderful! These are soft, light and airy in your mouth and so perfect. I baked mine for an exact 9 min and 30 seconds and that made them perfect. I let them cool on the cookie sheet for a couple minutes then I moved them to the cooling racks to finish cooling. This is a keeper for year round treats and special holiday treats. I will make them again and again! Thanks so much for posting this recipe!
These cookies are addicting!! They are the best cookies I have ever eaten. Everyone that tried them LOVED them. Thank you for the great recipe. I'll be making these for years to come.
Yeah - these are good, really good! I hate big cake-like sugar cookies and these are nothing like that. And I don't like sugar cookies that are really condensed and chewy. These are more like shortbread sugar cookies and they are delish.
Your right! These are the best sugar cookies ever. I HATE sugar cookies but I made these with my step daughter for Christmas. I found myself sneaking one every time I went into the kitchen. They're more like a butter cookie than a sugar cookie. However, I tried to roll them and cut them out but that was a disaster. It turned into a greasy mess so I opted to just make them into balls. My BF is already asking me to make them again.
These were quite tasty, but to me they're very untraditional in flavour and execution. Still, they're easy to make, cake-like, and delicious. Not so great for packing with gift boxes and etc., but tasty for home consumption.
These are simply the best darn sugar cookie DH and I have ever eaten!! I divided up the dough in 1/4's then rolled it in saran wrap to make tubes. I still have a tube frozen for later :) We decorated ours with cherries and Christmas goodies before baking! Thank you Shannon for a wonderful recipe!!
