The flavor of this soup is very good, but I took a star off because it was not very thick. I will make this again for sure, but next time, I will either use less broth and/or milk, or more flour. I also used real cheddar, not velveeta.
Wow! I was really skeptical of this when preparing it. With no spices and the way it looked, I didn't see how it could taste pleasant. I was very surprised! Like another person suggested, I added 1T soy sauce and I threw in cheddar cheese instead of Velveeta. I topped it off with pepper and yum! I can't wait to have it for lunch this week!
Just wonderful! I love making simple homemade soups in the winter! I used velveeta this time becuase it was left over, but I will normally use cheddar since its cheaper. I did not puree it becasue I like to chew my broccoli. I hollowed out 2 round loaves of sourdough bread and it almost tasted like I was at Panera! what a great comfort food!
A great soup!!
Absolutely delicious! I made it this week for my family and am now making it for a work potluck lunch. Thanks for sharing this great recipe!
My family and I LOVED the recipe! (Substituted Velveeta with Cheddar cheese though) Thanks for sharing!
Really great flavor, very good soup. A little too thin for my tastes (I like soups to be pretty thick), but that is easily remedied. Thanks!
This was good, but the velveeta made it too salty. Will try again with cheddar.
This soup is very good. I did add a little extra cheese. It was easy to make and inexpensive to make. This recipe is a keeper, thanks for sharing it.
