This is good, but a bit salty. Next time I would make sure the wings themselves have less salt, or maybe use unsalted butter. When I bought my Frank's, I noticed they make a buffalo sauce. Wonder it that is this, pre-made?
Update - tried this again and substituted chipotle chili powder for the cayenne powder...heaven! That little hint of smokiness makes a world of difference.
very good but too much butter. I made wings for one. I only needed 1 tablespoon butter 1/2 c. Franks, and 1 tsp cayenne very tasty!
I used unsalted butter, and a put 1/4 cup of water and added a little flour to thicken it up. And added a dash of garlic powder. Awesome recipe to start and figure out your own twists
Wow. I love this sauce. Very spicy though so be aware.
To offset saltiness of the sauce u can add one quarter cup of sugar that really sets it off.
Yes. Roasted chicken thighs at very high heat to crisp skin, then slathered this on 'em and baked a little more. Yum!
Seemed silly using a premade sauce with butter, but it was good! I subbed chipotle powder for the cayenne.
Great tasting sauce and so simple to make, all other recipes are either too complex (more than 5 mins prep) or just don't taste like the real deal. This one solves both.
"Best Buffalo Wing Sauce"? Really? It's just Franks Hot Sauce. Calling it "the best" is ridiculous.
This isn't a recipe, this is "buy a bottle of sauce, throw in heaps of butter and pepper"<br/><br/>If I wanted to buys sauce i would. Seriously.
