Hands down the "best" bread I've ever made. I prefer using my machine to just make dough...I don't like the shape and texture of bread made and baked in the machine...and this recipe was perfect. I do have a hunch though that my husband may insist that we never buy bread again,lol.
Very good recipe! Our company loved it. I may add a bit more salt or sugar next time although hubby and our company said it was perfect way it was. Made hamburgers with the bread and it was the best burgers we have had in awhile. Don't need buns anymore now :) Thanks for sharing the recipe!
This just melted in our mouths. I made this to go along with our beef stew last night and it was wonderful. I plan on making more tonight it was so good. Thankyou for sharing.

The taste of this bread was just wonderful!!!I made the dough in my breadmaker,and i made it with 2 cups white bread flour and 1 cup whole wheat.The only reason i'm giving this a 4* rating is because,there was no basic time given for the rise time after it was put in the loaf pan,so I let it rise in a warm place for about 40 minutes.And another reason for my rating is there was no temperature given to bake it,so I baked it at 350º for about 40 minutes.To make slicing easier, I froze the bread for about 1 hour and used my electric knife and it made the prettiest even slices.Thank you so much for posting,this bread will be made again.

Delicious soft, light 1-1/2 loaf. I cheated and added an egg. This one is a keeper.
