  • 1 (18 1/2 ounce) package brownie mix (13x9 pan size)
  • 13 cup chopped unblanched almonds
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 12 teaspoon grated lemon peel
  • 2 cups whipped topping
  • 2 -3 cups mixed fresh berries

directions

  • Prepare brownie batter according to package directions for fudge like brownies, adding almonds, and extract.
  • Spread into a greased 14 inch pizza pan.
  • Bake at 375 degrees for 15-18 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
  • Cool in pan on a wire rack.
  • In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, amd lemon peel until smooth.
  • Fold in whipped topping.
  • Spread over crust to within 1/2 inch of edges.
  • Top with berries.
  • Refrigerate for 2-3 hours before serving.

  1. I was concerned that the berries were a bit tart but it was great with the brownies. We put strawberries and blueberries on one side and then sliced bananas on the other. They were both something we will make again.

Used Ghiradelli's triple chocolate (semi-sweet, milk & bittersweet) brownie mix & then followed the recipe on down, topping it with a mix of blueberries, raspberries & small strawberries & had a wonderfully tasty pizza, that we shared with several neighbors!
