There's no more classic combo than fresh berries and bananas. Here, just a touch of honey shines up their flavors even more. The recipe comes from EatingWell.
- 1 ripe banana, sliced
- 1⁄2 cup raspberries
- 1⁄4 cup blueberries
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons honey
- 1⁄8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1⁄2 cup unsweetened apple juice
- 1⁄2 cup ice
- Place All ingredients in the order listed in a blender; PULSE twice to CHOP the fruit. Stir well then blend until smooth, Serve immediately, enjoy.
Good smoothie. . .appreciate that it's non-dairy! Next time I will leave out the cinnamon as it was a bit strange for me. Also note that the more ripe the banana, the stronger the flavor; recommend a nice yellow banana with no brown spots.
Mmmmm, this was delicious! I used only raspberries, as that's all I had. I halved the recipe just for me, but next time will make the whole recipe, again, just for me! Thanks Barb!
