Rose hips are extremely high in Vitamin C, with about 1700–2000 mg per 100 g in the dried product, making them one of the richest plant sources for that vitamin. However, rose hips also contain vitamins A, D and E, essential fatty acids and antioxidant flavonoids. From Natural Beauty at Home by Janice Cox. Fresh rose hips can be used if you have them, just skip the soaking step.

  1. Pour water over the rose hips and let soak several hours or overnight.
  2. Put into a blender and blend until a smooth paste is formed.
  3. Spread over your face and neck and leave on for about 10 minutes.
  4. Rinse with cool water and pat dry.
  5. If desired, use some rose water afterwards as an astringent.
