Belly Fat Blasting Smoothie (Dr. Oz)

"Not only healthy, its absolutely delicious! In fact, I kick start my day with a glass every morning to get my protein, fruit & fibre very quickly. My preference is cranberry juice & frozen blueberries with no ice. All other ingredients are available in large markets, drugstores & health food stores. My only deviation from Dr. Oz's recipe: (1) I don't add 600 mg of fish oil by breaking open supplement capsules (2) the addition of 1/2 cup plain fat free yogurt wasn't in the original recipe."

  1. I look forward to my morning smoothie every day. Wow. I went with the lemon-flavoured fish oil liquid, and it's like a ray of sunshine. Frozen berry blend, fat-free vanilla Activia, ice cubes, apple juice, just a splash of water, and all the rest of the ingredients - the taste is amazing. This drink has got me moving in every single way. Thank you for sharing, CountryLady!

  2. Tastes great...I was very scared when I was making it! Used frozen blueberries and frozen strawberries. Even put the fish oil in and it still tastes awesome!

  3. Loved this - could eat it everyday - I didn't have chia seeds, psyhillium husk or whey - but will go to whole foods to look for these ingredients as it could only make it better! Made this in my new Vita Mix blender. I used cranberry juice and blueberries and did add ice. Thanks.

  4. WINNER! Healthy and delicious with all the healthy ingredients I have been using for years - except now by making my morning smoothie it is no longer hit and miss as with the 'sprinkle method'. Get my daily cranberry juice, my banana, my yoghurt and my favourite grains in one great tasting morning smoothie. Take my fish oil capsules as usual instead of adding to smoothie. Absolutely love the combination of my favourites which I make up daily in my Magic Bullet and keeps me going to lunch time. Have passed the recipe along and they too say ...WINNER! Thank you for sharing.

  5. Thank you so much for posting this recipe! What a great, healthy way to start out the day! Yesterday I made this with o.j. and bananas, today I made it with o.j. and strawberries...both were yummy!

In the words of Tracy Byrd, "I'm from the country & I like it that way"!! On May 1, 2008 my husband and I started a new adventure. We'll be living in a 37 foot RV while our new home is under construction. Its out in the country on a dead end dirt road with lots of trees. For the next 4 months or so, most meals will be cooked on the BBQ and life will be full of challenges! We love spending quality time with our friends & family - especially the grandkids!! The photo is 4 generations - my 84 year old mother, myself, my daughter & my youngest granddaughter - taken at the end of 2006. I've participated in many contests & events here on Zaar but this is the first banner that I've posted. My thanks to Dreamgoddess for hosting the contest & SusieD for the banner design! <img src="http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f249/Dreamgoddess555/Narrow1-1.jpg">
