1. Nothing bad about this recipe!! Except it becomes addictive!! Did some with rolos and did some with kisses. Thanks :)

 2. These are a favorite for the holidays and so easy my children make them. We also use Rolo candies in place of the kisses.

 3. I made a variation of these for goodie bags for friends and family. I used Rollos instead of Kisses and topped them off with another snap pretzel...they were a big hit!!

 4. We make these at Xmas most of the time, and use the red and green xmas M&M's. Also, these work best with those square, grid-shaped pretzels called Snaps. These are very quick and easy and a nice blend of sweet and salty. You can mix it up by using different flavors of Hershey Kisses; there are many varieties now. Thanx for posting!

 5. As a reply to the problems rippacurloahu had on December 20, 2013.

Chocolate is very cranky about being melted if your oven is over 250 degrees the kisses will only harden and under they will not soften enough either way the M&M will be difficult to insert. Yours might have been off, for cheap insurance we use a oven thermometer to keep a check on the oven temperature when baking.

I make these every Christmas with the kids and bring a large batch into the office. Someone this year said it wouldn't be Christmas without them. I have talked about using candy hearts on Valentines day or marshmallows and another pretzel to make mini "smores", but nothing beats the salty sweet taste of these.
