  1. This was great! I doubled the recipe as I used it for a whole chicken. I also added a tablespoon of minced garlic. Awesome!

  2. We put this on some thin little pork chops and cooked them on an iron stovetop grill. They came up moist, tender, and delicious! Juice was running out of the meat on the plate after serving. Very nice!

  3. This marinade is sooooooo good. I made exactly as written, but only marinated one steak. I had a nice T-bone steak and marinated it overnight. I really loved that touch of sweetness that I could taste in my steak. Thanks for another great recipe. Made for June 2010 Aus/NZ Make My Recipe Tag Game.

  4. An excellent marinade for steak. I had bought steak fillet which does not need marinating at all. I have had this saved for awhile, so thought why not try it now, that and the combination of flavours sounded yummy, The marinade didn't disappoint. I marinated mine from morning until the evening. You can not go wrong with a fillet cut but this made them so tender with the subtle flavour from the marinade coming through. I served them with Recipe#308206 and it paired well. I did taste the meat without any horseradish sauce so I could give a true rating and it was excellent. I will look forward to trying this again with a different cut of steak or maybe even pork or chicken it is very good. Cheers Mandy

Melbourne I live on a 5 acre property in the Dandenong Ranges Victoria, Australia, having moved from the burbs when I became pregnant with my now 15 year old daughter Alyssa. Once my daughter was born I became a stay at home mum as I couldn't bear the thought of putting her in daycare. She is the light of my life, I never imagined myself as a mum when younger but now wouldn't have it any other way. Alyssa was made a big sister on the 19th April 2010 when our cheeky little boy Blake was born. I love cooking and experimenting with new recipes so quickly become addicted to Zaar as it was previously known & still use it regularly. In addition to being my kids taxi  I also spend my time, reading, gardening and of course shopping. I'm lucky enough that we have the space & so love growing our own fruits, vegies & herbs, this also means we have plenty of room for animals & at the moment have 2 dogs, Max, a Jackshund who's 6, Fletcher, a Kelpie who's 4, 6 cats Snowpea, Fergus, Ginger, Tango, Annie & Cookie, 4 chooks & 2 Ducks. As well as our pets, we also have a lot of native animals around our area, we have kangaroos, wombats, echidna's, possums as well as rosella's, galah's & Cockatoo's hence the name of where I live..
