ingredients
- 236.59 ml sharp cheddar cheese, room temperature & finely shredded
- 14.79 ml butter or 14.79 ml margarine, softened
- 4.92 ml prepared mustard
- 1.23 ml prepared horseradish
- 0.61 ml black pepper
- 44.37 ml beer (1/4 cup if dip will be chilled)
- chives, to garnish

- assorted crackers or vegetables
directions
- In a small bowl combine cheese, butter, mustard, horseradish and pepper.
- Heat beer just to boiling and immediately pour over cheese mixture.
- Beat with electric mixer about 3 minutes or until smooth.
- Let stand at room temperature for about an hour before serving, whether serving warm or chilled.
- Garnish if desired.
- Serve as dip or spread.
