  1. This is definitely tasty and easy, but it needs something more to really shine. I used more than two green onions (not just the tops, either) and I think that was needed. I'll probably add 1/2 tsp of garlic powder next time and experiment try a darker beer. I used a lighter colored beer and it didn't provide enough flavor. Green olives would be a natural addition. I'm also going to try with horseradish.

  2. To give this recipe a little ZIP, I added a little finely chopped jalapeno to the mix. It made the dip addicting! Thankfully, I made a triple batch, as it disappeared very fast. Cant believe how many bags of wheat crackers we went through.

  3. Made this for company and loved how easy it came together. The only think I did different was cut it in half as we didn't need this much. Everyone enjoyed the creamy texture and flavors, though I'm thinking next time I might add a little hot sauce for just an extra flavor and a little kick. Served with crackers

  4. Perfect!! Yum!!

  5. I thought I had rated this. LOVE this dip and everyone in the house has started fighting over the bowl and bag of pretzels. We may have issues as we all stash some away from the other's LOL.

Tweaks

  1. Easy to make cheese dip and so good! I used one package of the ranch dressing mix and dried chives instead of the green onions. Also used 1/2 cup of Miller Lite beer to get it to a creamier consistency. This will be a family favorite! Thank you Mean Jeanne for posting this recipe.
