Whipped this up in 5 minutes just because, and boy am I glad I did!!! I couldn't resist slicing myself off a piece right out of the oven... it's amazing!! I'll need to make a beer run just so I can make more of this bread!
yummy! I did sift the flour and it turned great :) something i love about it is my daughter is allergic to eggs so this was something that was so easy to throw together and she could have it. thnx for sharing :)

Fabulous! We used to buy this mix from TS, but I think this recipe is even better and still VERY easy! I even made it into 8 mini loaves, which turned out beautifully. Delicious, delicious!
This is by far the best I've had and the easiest made!!! Ihave tried the box kinds from various venders but this def topped the cake. If you dont like the butter tast you can even half the 1/4 cup!!!
This was SO EASY and good. I made a seasonal twist (FALL) used Jack Pumpkin Ale and Brown sugar instead of white. Used only 1/4 cup butter, I would cut down even less butter next time, no need for the extra fat. Awsome and easy--everyone loved it, and we all overindulged!
We had to stop ourselves from eating too much! The recipe is similar to one I had lost a few years back. I'm a big fan of kneaded breads, but I just didn't plan far enough ahead the other night. I found your recipe, and it was yum!!! Sifting flour did make a big difference. I didn't do that in the past, and the bread was much coarser. I used a cheap blonde beer, Miller Lite, and it was good. I've used dark beer in the past and have enjoyed that as well for a more intense flavor. My only criticism is I'd use less butter, maybe 1/4 cup... it flowed over loaf pan and just wasn't necessary. Between the sugar, mild beer and unsalted butter our bread was sweet. Out toddlers dubbed it "cake" and gobbled it up. Thanks for sharing!
I love this recipe. I added 1/2 pkg lipton onion soup to the mix, plus a handfull of shredded cheddar, and topped with the remainder of the soup as suggested. I'll definitely make this again. I suggest you place a pan under it because it ran over in the oven. Perhaps it was because I added ingredients. Next time I will use a bigger pan. Thanks for a great recipe.
