This recipe rocks. It was absolutely the best homemade onion rings I ever made. They are a bit of work, but your hard work is rewarded in kind. I will say I thought the batter could have used more salt, but I may have spaced out on the salt altogether. I honestly can't remember. Top quality! If I ever opened a restaurant, this would be my onion ring recipe.
A lot of work but well worth it. Very tasty and nice texture. The fact that they need to be frozen adds to the convenience as you can prepare them ahead of time.
Congratulations on being the "Recipe of the Day". I absolutely love onion rings. These sound awesome and can't wait to try them. It's the Victoria Day long weekend and I have no plans so maybe I'll make them tomorrow because it's suppose to rain. I'll let you know how they turn out.
