This is a great basting sauce for steak and ribs but an even better marinade for any sausage, I especially like it with bratwurst.
- 340 ml beer
- 4 chopped spring onions
- 50 ml cooking oil
- 30 ml soy sauce
- 15 ml brown sugar
- 15 ml chopped gingerroot
- 2 crushed garlic cloves
- Mix together till sugar is dissolved.
- Baste meat while grilling or use as marinade.
- For best flavour marinade overnight in fridge.
- Prep time does not include the time it takes to marinade.
I mixed together and then heated for flavors to blend. The recipe did not say. I also used 4 tblsp. oil., marinated the meat for 4 hrs, perhaps overnight would be better. This could also be used for chicken.
