Directions

  1. Place meat, onion, celery and green pepper in Dutch oven; cover with water.
  2. Cover tightly and cook slowly 2 1/2 to 3 hours or until tender.
  3. Remove meat; cool, shred and return to cooking liquid.
  4. Add catsup, taco sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, garlic, bay leaf, salt, mustard and chili powder.
  5. Cook slowly 1 hour.
  6. Remove bay leaf; serve on buns.

Tried it out the other day with some dried thyme added to the cooking liquid. Excellent taste. Thanks for sharing.
