Beef Sandwich Au Coke

"This delicious recipe came from my dad's aunt, Norma Albers from Kiester, MN. Everyone loves it; even the picky little ones! It is great for a large group, and we are planning on making this for my brother's high school graduation open house in June. I hope you enjoy it!"

directions

  • First, I suppose you can gather the ingredients.
  • Then, put them all into a crockpot- that is it!
  • Cook them in the crockpot for approximately 6 hours covered.
  • Stir every once in awhile.
  • When this is done, the meat will be shredded.
  • If you are having them on mini"bunwiches," it will serve between 30-35.
  • If you are using regular hamburger buns, it will serve around 15 people.
  • Enjoy!

  1. Easy to prepare and tasted fine, but the sauce was thin and the meat was very stringy. Thanks.

  2. DELICIOUS!! I did not have coke, so I substituted rootbeer ... LOL! Still tasted great :-) Thanks for an easy and tasty beef dish.

  3. I followed the directions exactly although you never said to put it on low or high. I put it on low and after 8 hours it wasn't shredded nor easily shred so I just sliced it as thin as I could. It had a nice flavor and was soft but I would have liked it better had it been shredded. Maybe I'll try high next time.

  4. Great flavor and couldn't be easier to prepare. Everyone loved it! Tasted even better the next day, when we finished up the leftovers.

  5. Thought it would come out horrible, but it was great. I added 1 can tomato sauce near the end of cook time and thickened the sauce with flour. Husband loved it. (as did all the kids)
